JLBS special issue for IPIN2012

IPIN2013
The website for IPIN2013 has been launched. Head to ipin-conference.org for all the information on how to participate to IPIN2013. The 4th International Conference on Indoor Positioning and Indoor Navigation (IPIN) will take place at the end of October/beginning of November 2013 at the University of Franche-Comte, Montbeliard-Belfort, France. The abstracts submission deadline is May 15th, 2013.

Where and when
The 3rd International Conference on Indoor Positioning and Indoor Navigation (IPIN) will take place on 13-15th November, 2012 at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.
The University of New South Wales is one of Australia's leading research and teaching universities with more than 50,000 students, and offers a broad disciplinary base. The School of Surveying and Geospatial Engineering (SAGE) is Australia's largest concentration of academic research and development in wireless, ground-based and satellite-based technology, and one of the world's leading academic institute in such areas. The main UNSW campus is located on a 38-hectare site at Kensington, seven kilometres from the centre of Sydney and two kilometres from the Pacific Ocean.
The first IPIN conference was organised in September 2010 by Professor Hilmar Ingensand and Dr. Rainer Mautz from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich. For its first edition, it was a huge success and gathered around 450 specialists of indoor positioning. The second edition was organised by Associate Professor Adriano Moreira from the University of Minho in Guimaraes, Portugal. More than 250 delegates from all over the world attended. Next year, we invite to you to Sydney to share your knowledge, network with your peers and learn about indoor positioning techniques.

Scope
Location information of devices in indoor environments has become a key issue for many emerging applications. However, there is no ubiquitous and easy solution. Therefore, IPIN brings together experts in electronics, surveying and informatics. Researchers, system providers and users are invited to contribute with presentations, posters, demonstrations and discussions to create synergies between different indoor positioning techniques.
