Industry

For the first time, indoor location industry major players will be deeply involved in the IPIN conference. With support from well known companies such as Nokia, Google or Locata already secured; and more coming; this will give our academic delegates a unique opportunity to have an insight into what the industry is currently working on in the indoor positioning field. It will also foster new relationships between the academic and industrial worlds and allow for better collaboration.

Representatives from the following companies have already agreed to attend IPIN2012, and more are expected to come:

This collaboration will take place mainly through two events, and by networking during the conference.

Industry panel

During a moderated and carefully prepared debate, industry representatives will discuss new technical and business opportunities with the audience.

The panel will be moderated by Prof. Sverre Holm.

The panel currently includes representatives from Google, Nokia Location & Commerce business unit, Locata Corp., and Aeroscout.

Industry session

This session will be an opportunity for industry members to give presentations without having to submit a formal paper to the conference. You can expose your latest products main features and strengths to the delegates, and potentially present the challenges that you faced or are facing when designing such products.

Session participants will be announced here later.
