IPIN competition

IPIN hosts a competition that takes place on Sunday at the ISTI institute of the CNR Area of Pisa, not far from the conference venue. If you attend the competition, either as a competitor, track chair or spectator, you should carefully read the instructions for competition attendees. Competitors are additionally invited to read the instructions for competitors.

Oral presentations

Authors of Regular Papers (RP) and selected Work-in-Progess papers (WiP) will give an oral presentation in one of the parallel sessions. Session rooms are equipped with a laptop and a projector. Authors should go to their assigned session room 10 minutes before the starting time of the session and bring their presentation on a USB stick in PDF (preferred) or ODP, PPT, PPTX, 16:9 aspect ratio, with all fonts and visuals embedded. Authors who have not already provided their short bio by email (please indicate your paper number in the subject) should bring a printed one.

Each paper has a preassigned slot in the program, whose duration is 20 minutes: 1' for setup and author introduction, 15' for the presentation by the author, 4' for questions from the public. Time slot assignment is fixed for RPs, while the session chair may move a WiP to a different slot, if appropriate. A few sessions are assigned more papers than available time slots: in this case the session chair may need to skip the last WiP presentations.

Posters

All authors of WiP papers should bring a poster in A0 portrait format and hand it to the staff, so that it can be exposed in the poster area. Authors will stand by their poster during both poster sessions to present their research and answer the questions of attendees.

Food

The bar is open at all times. Lunches and coffee breaks will be served in the gallery area (see program). Lunches will be served on Tuesday and Wednesday only. Food is allowed in the conference area only in the gallery area during lunches and coffee breaks, and in the bar area at all times.

Welcome cocktail and Social dinner

On Monday we serve a welcome cocktail, during which flag throwers will exhibit in the area at the front of the venue. On Wednesday all attendees are invited to the social dinner at the Arsenali Repubblicani, which are 2,5 km on foot from the venue through a beautiful walk along the Arno river, starting at 19.30: please bring your conference badge with you.

City sightseeing

On Tuesday we leave the site a 18.00 for a two-hours guided walking tour through the beautiful town of Pisa, ending in the town centre.

Wi-Fi and access to conference papers

In your badge holder you find a user name and password that you can use to access the venue's Wi-Fi named palazzocongressi-hotspot. You can use the same credentials to access individual conference papers from the program and to download a copy of the web site including all papers for your local browsing.
