On 26.09. you have the opportunity to participate in a guided tour in Nuremberg. There are four different tours to choose from.

  • 1. Guided tour through Nuremberg's historical rock-cut cellars

    The history of Nuremberg and its historical rock-cut cellars is inseparably linked with the history of beer. The tour gives you the opportunity to visit the underground rock passages, which were used for beer storage but also played an important role during World War II. The tour includes a visit to the Altstadthof house brewery and the whisky distillery where the specialties like the original Nuremberg red beer can be tasted.

    How to get there from Nordostpark:

    Bus stop “Nordostpark Ost”:
  • Take Bus line no. 30 in the direction of “Erlangen Arcaden” or “Erlangen ü. FLughafen”. -> departure 17:10 or 17:30 p.m.
  • At the stop "Am Wegfeld" change to tram/streetcar line no. 4 “Nürnberg Plärrer” (on platform 2).
  • Get off at the stop “Nürnberg Tiergärtnertor”.
  • Duration: 29min
  • Bus stop “Nordostpark Ost”:
  • Take Bus line no. 31 in the direction of “Großgründlach über Neunhof”. -> departure 17:00 or 17:20 p.m.
  • At the stop "Bamberger Str." change to tram/streetcar line no. 4 “Gibitzenhof” (on platform 3).
  • Get off at the stop “Nürnberg Tiergärtnertor”.
  • Duration: 34min


  • 2. Sausage City Tour

    The Sausage City Tour puts the spotlight on the famous Nuremberger Bratwurst. You will hear funny and interesting stories about the well-known sausage and get the answers to questions like “Since when do the Nuremberger citizens eat Bratwurst?” and “Why are the sausages so small?” Hungry? The tour ends with the opportunity to taste the Bratwurst.



    3. Of beer gravels and brewing stars

    Have you ever heard of brewing stars? In this tour, we will dive deep into the topic of brewing beer and its over 700 years old tradition in Nuremberg. You will learn about the medieval tricks and techniques of manufacture as well as the legal regulations. The tour ends with a refreshing glass of beer in your hand.

    4. Old-Town City Tour

    Nuremberg once was an Imperial Palace and an international business center. Therefore the artistic, cultural and intellectual life bloomed. Today you can still see numerous monuments, buildings and work of art from that time. This tour allows you to get to know the core of Nurembergs history.

  • At the stop "Ziegelstein Süd" change to subway line no. 2 “Röthenbach” (U2).
  • At the stop “Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof/Main railway station” change to subway line no. 1 “Fürth Hardhöhe” or “Eberhardshof” (U1)
  • Get off at the stop “Lorenzkirche”
  • Duration: 26min
  • From there, it’s about 5min walk to “Hauptmarkt”
  • (Option 2) Bus stop “Nordostpark Ost”:
  • Take Bus line no. 31 in the direction of “Herrnhütte über Nordostpark” or Bus line no. 30 in the direction of “Nordostbahnhof”. -> departure 17:01, 17:11, 17:21, 17:31 p.m.
  • At the stop "Herrnhütte" change to subway line no. 2 “Röthenbach” (U2).
  • At the stop “Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof/Main railway station” change to subway line no. 1 “Fürth Hardhöhe” or “Eberhardshof” (U1)
  • Get off at the stop “Lorenzkirche”
  • Duration: 29min
  • From there, it’s about 5min walk to “Hauptmarkt”

  • Take subway no. 1 in the direction of “Eberhardshof” or “Fürth Hardhöhe” (U1)
